Blizzard continues to balance the current character roster of "Overwatch." The recent update now tones down the skills of Torbjorn.

Game director Jeff Kaplan has answered a Reddit thread where a player is complaining about how dominating the turret defense-building hero is. Apparently, the development team at Blizzard has gotten the same feedback from a number of fans and is already building a patch to downgrade the hero.

Kaplan wrote, "In an upcoming patch, we will reduce the damage done by Torbjörn's turret by 30 percent on Xbox One and PS4. PC will remain unchanged."

It is unclear, however, if Blizzard plans to only release the nerf in the console versions of the game, or if only the PC version will be unchanged at this time, with a new update following later. Forbes estimates that the developer will not be making the downgrade available for the PC since Torbjorn, while having the same skill set and stats in the PC version, can be failry handled well with keyboard controls. The same is not true for console versions, as some players find it difficult to counter Torbjorn's automated accuracy for his turrets while plating with console controllers.

However, Kaplan did hint at when fans can expect the downgrade to be released on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, as the game director adds that the update will roll out, "Mid to late July depending on 1st party certification times."

When the update is released next month, Torbjorn will join other characters who have received downgrades in recent updates. An earlier patch that rolled out nerfs the skills of McCree and Widowmaker. Players also expect that with the downgrade for Torbjorn coming out next month, a similar patch will address gameplay issues and glitches.
