'Outlander' Season 5 spoilers: Fans need not 'worry' as future episodes will focus on Jamie and Claire's life in North Carolina

Fans of the epic fantasy series "Outlander" have been satisfied with the show so far, but some of them had worries as season 5 has not been confirmed yet. However, Chief Executive Officer Chris Albrecht of Starz (the network that owns the show) tried to assuage fan doubts and said that they should not worry as there are many more episodes of "Outlander" to come.

Season 5 of "Outlander" will still be based on the fantasy book series by Diana Gabaldon, but this time the focus will be on the fourth book titled "The Drums of Autumn." This means that the tone of the show will probably slightly change, as the main couple Claire Randall (played by Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) will set up a permanent home in North Carolina.

Another assurance Albrecht gave fans is that there are still ten books in the series source material, and he says that conversations about the show are "very productive." It is likely that "Outlander" will try and adapt all the books into the TV show.

One thing is for sure, though: they are wary about killing of Randall and Fraser. Whereas "Game of Thrones" seems to throw death in fans' faces so suddenly and randomly, "Outlander" showrunners will not give up their protagonists easily.

"We have joined the legions of fans of Outlander around the world. Our biggest concern is making sure that we don't kill Caitriona and Sam along the way," Albrecht said.

The season finale of "Outlander" had Randall fight for her life after experiencing a massive shipwreck. After the ordeal, she reunited with Fraser. The two traveled together to the aforementioned state of North Carolina to build their home. It is expected that season 5 will pick up from that moment where the story left off.

"Outlander" season 4 will be available this year on Amazon Prime Video. Season 5 is still under production.
