The cast and crew of "Outlander" have taken a break from filming season 2 to enjoy the holidays, but the show continues to give some updates to make the wait a little easier for loyal fans.

Last week, Starz aired an "Outlander" marathon of season 1, and on Wednesday, Dec. 30, writer and co-executive producer Matthew B. Roberts took to Twitter to inform the show's followers that the script for the upcoming season's last episode has been written.

"Yes EP213 script is finished (1st draft) that #ToniGraphia & I co-wrote," Roberts tweeted.

The new season will have 13 episodes and will resume filming in January.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly gave a preview of what Claire (Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) will look like once they start mingling with the aristocrats of Paris. As previously reported, season 2 will be based in Scotland and France with Jamie and Claire trying to stop the Jacobite rebellion.

For season 2, costumer designer Terry Dresbach put aside the tartans, wools and other heavy and drab fabrics from season 1 to dress Claire and Jamie in silks and other expensive fabrics. In the photo, Claire is looking elegant in a fawn-colored gown with floral print, a matching hat and gold satin gloves. Meanwhile, Jamie looks dashing in a dark coat, a white shirt with ruffled cuffs, and his hair has been neatly combed and tied back. It is a departure from the couple's simpler look back in the previous season.

Dresbach told EW that they made over 10,000 items for the new season and acquired "another 5,000" pairs of shoes.

"In Scotland, there is not a ton of research out there about what they wore. It was a rough place," Dresback explained. "But France [in the 18th century] was one of the most well-documented periods of fashion in the world, so you better get it right."

"Outlander" season 2 is expected to premiere in spring 2016 on Starz.
