"Orange Is the New Black" is gearing up for a new season this year. Ahead of the season 4 premiere, the show released a new teaser which shows new inmates coming to Litchfield.

In the teaser, the prison's vehicle pulls up and several new inmates are seen entering the prison walls. Alex (Laura Prepon) is seen as well as Piper (Taylor Schilling), who looks teary-eyed and emotional. Crazy Eyes (Uzo Aduba) looks excited as she motions for someone to sit beside her, while Nicky (Natasha Lyonne) returns and is seen giving someone a disbelieving look.

At the 2016 Television Critics Association Winter press tour, show creator Jenji Kohan and a few cast members spoke to reporters about the upcoming season and what's ahead for Piper, Sophia (Laverne Cox), and the new Litchfield inmates.

Kohan said (via E! Online) that having a theme this year was difficult because sometimes they start off the season with political agendas, the corporatization of the prison, and similar issues.

"I can't tell you much more than that because we want it to be a surprise but all the fun stuff like race and hate and some things from current events that we want to sort of filter through our lens," said Kohan.

New cast member Blair Brown, who plays a Martha Stewart-type CEO imprisoned for white collar crime, gave a little more information about the new group dynamics in the upcoming season.

"You do push all the different groups together," said Brown, who added that there will be some unexpected alliances between certain groups and characters.

As for Piper, Schilling said that her character is "definitely on a journey and we work the vicissitudes of her likability." Meanwhile, Cox said that her character's fate in season 4 was "really challenging" and that it pushed her in ways that she didn't anticipate.

"Orange Is the New Black" season 4 premieres on Friday, June 17 on Netflix.
