'Orange is the New Black' season 3 filming begins after Netflix renews series

No time is wasted for the cast and crew of "Orange is the New Black" as they are now on their way to a season 3 already. The season 2 just debuted days ago, but now, season 3 is already in the works. The renewal for the third season came a month before season 2 debuted.

The official news came from the show's official Twitter account. Last June 5, the show tweeted "On the eve of Orange Is The New Black Season 2, the cast are hard at work back on the set of #OITNB Season 3. How freaking cool is that?" Hence, there's no rumor here, OITNB will definitely be back for a new season.

It was only last year when OITNB premiered and it was well-received. "Orange is the New Black" is based on the true life story of Piper Kerman; original content is something that Netflix is known for nowadays. And with the familiar cast, OITNB became an instant hit with fans. Season 3 will have 13 episodes.

Although Netflix's "House of Cards" is still on top, OITNB still has its share of loyal viewers who were ecstatic for the premier of the new season and the making of the next season.

Now for new OITNB viewers, there's no need to fret. The entire first season is readily available on Netflix. Anyone can easily catch up to the story, it's really not too late.

In other news....good news that is, Laura Prepon will be back in season 3 as a regular, according to Screenrant. Many fans were disappointed when Prepon wasn't seen too much in season 2 as she initially just agreed to appear for one episode. And then she was talked into signing for four episodes in season 2 and now, has become a regular for the upcoming season.
