Patrons who are waiting for the release of OnePlus 5T finally have an exact date to mark on their calendars. The Chinese startup phone maker announced on Monday that the new handset will be unveiled next Thursday, Nov. 16, 11 a.m. EST at a press event in Brooklyn.

"We can't wait to tell you all about the new features and improvements that we have been working on," the company said in its announcement.

The new additions are still under wraps. However, prior to the news, the handset was spotted on the benchmarking site, GFXBench, revealing some potential specifications.

Codenamed as OnePlus A5010, the device is said to sport a 6.01-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 1080x2160 pixels (1080p) resolution. It will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with either 6 gigabytes (GB) of random access memory (RAM) and 64 GB of internal storage, or 8 GB of RAM and 128 of internal storage.

It will also reportedly arrive with a 20-megapixel (MP) front camera, a 4 MP upgrade on OnePlus 5's selfie snapper. The rear, on the other hand, is expected to be dual-camera set-up with 16 and 20 MP sensors. There is no word on the battery, but it should be more efficient than the one found in OnePlus 5.

Although OnePlus has yet to confirm its price as well, CEO Pete Lau's recent hint suggests it may cost less than or around the ballpark of 4,000 yuan (about $600/£460/AU$785). For comparison, OnePlus 5'S 128 GB variant is being sold for $540.

The new device will go on sale in America and Europe a week after launch, on Nov. 21. OnePlus will start shipping "early-bird" orders of its new phone in India on the same date, but the phone will not officially go on sale there until Nov. 28. As for Chinese consumers, they can get their hands one OnePlus 5T beginning Dec. 1.
