Saitama will be back in the second season of "One Punch Man." However, fans will have to wait a little longer since no airdate has been announced for the series.

"One Punch Man" followers were delighted to hear that the show will now have a second season. This was confirmed at the "One Punch Man" Fall Festival event, which happened late last month. Consequently, it was also announced via the Japanese Twitter account of the series shortly after the confirmation was made at the event.

It is now speculated that the upcoming season will contain 19 episodes instead of the 12-episode count which it had in the first season. Saitama will reportedly be facing new challenges and new foes, which include Lord Boros, Amai Mask, and Garou. Genos, Saitama's apprentice, is also rumored to become his rival.

The background story of Saitama is also speculated to be shown in the upcoming season. The origins of his power will also be revealed, as well as how he lost his hair. All these made the fans a little more excited.

"One Punch Man" started out as a webcomic back in 2009 by an author named One (a pseudonym). The story is about a bald guy who has superhuman powers, but he got bored because of the absence of challenge since he is too overpowered. He then decided to be a superhero just for fun, and he only needs to punch the enemy once to finish a fight.

The webcomic was then turned into a manga by Yusuke Murata in 2012, which also became an instant hit among manga lovers. Madhouse was later called in to create the anime version of the story. The manga's keyframing technique was also used in the anime, which resulted into a stunning and funny adaptation. The first season was aired in Japan in 2015.

"One Punch Man" fans now waiting for more announcements regarding season 2.
