While fans were disappointed that the space exploration and procedural-gameplay title "No Man's Sky" had its release delayed, many were thinking that developer Hello Games may have tweaked the game and improved it. There were even rumors of PlayStation VR support.

Now, peculations suggest that Hello Games and Sony are building up the hype for "No Man's Sky" as a first-party title and that it will come out with a price tag of at least $60.

According to Lazy Gamer, an early Amazon pre-order page listed "No Man's Sky" as having roughly $60 as a price tag, which some see as a bit steep even if it is an expected triple-A title. The reported price tag drew mixed reactions from the waiting fans, with some of them saying that the price tag may have something to do with its release date delay. Should the PlayStation VR support be true, then a $60 price tag for "No Man's Sky" may be considered a fair price.

Others, however, said that aside from the title being procedurally generated, Sony and Hello Games have built up the hype too much and fans may be disappointed in the game when it finally launches this year. According to Australia Network News, the delay in the game itself is already a big negative for fans.

Previously, "No Man's Sky" was pegged for a 2015 release and many thought that the game would appear before the year ended. However, Hello Games said that due to some factors in fine-tuning the game, the release date for "No Man's Sky" was set to June 2016 instead.

The industry follower added that statements relating to "No Man's Sky" have given it a resounding reputation in gaming circles. However, the gameplay, mechanics, and teasers that Hello Games gave out might turn out to be "airbrushed" as marketing pieces, and some observers might not get what they've expected when they finally experience playing "No Man's Sky" for themselves.
