It seems all is set for the release of "No Man's Sky," as developer Hello Games confirms that the game has gone gold and is a 6GB title. Meanwhile, the studio also hints that the game, although already massive by itself, will have post-launch content.

In an announcement posted on Twitter, Hello Games executive Sean Murray confirms that "No Man's Sky" may be a hefty game, as it weighs 6GB. However, Murray clarifies that instead of full-blown game content, the entire disc has been occupied, "A lot of that is audio."

Answering queries from fans, Murray also revealed that all is set for the upcoming Aug. 9 release of the game, since the developer also stated, "RC1 on the disc means Release Candidate 1. We passed cert first time in EU, US and Asia, currently here working on Japanese submission."

Though fans will not have long to wait for "No Man's Sky" to drop since the release is scheduled early next month, some observers can't help but worry. The August release date is already the third schedule for the game, as previous rollout periods have been set back. "No Man's Sky" is originally expected to come out by December last year, though Hello Games has insisted that their target release date is early 2016. However, the announced June release date has been delayed once again, as Hello Games set it back to August.

The waiting has been a series of touch-and-goes for fans that Murray reported that he started receiving death threats when Hello Games announced the delay.

Meanwhile, Hello Games also hinted that aside from the virtual universe in "No Man's Sky," featuring 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 planets in-game, the studio is already planning an update for the title. However, it is still unclear if the update is a Day One patch or content expansion, with new in-game features, for the title.
