"Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom" was supposed to be released back in late 2017, but this was moved to March 23, 2018. As the days come closer, fans are seeing more gameplay clips and teasers of the title to keep the hype up. Needless to say, the gameplay videos do not disappoint.

The recently-released gameplay footage ran over 25 minutes, and it showcased two major parts or features of the game. From the start of the video until around the seventh minute, it showed the classic real-time strategy (RTS) portion of the game. On the other hand, the rest of the video was definitely a more familiar scene showing the Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) part, much like the first title.

In its RTS feature, it portrayed a mission where Evan Pettiwhisker Tildrum, the protagonist, had to battle a group of bandits in the Heartlands. This would be familiar to those who have gone to Gamescom last year, as this was the same feature given then. Still, most of the gameplay video focused on the JRPG feature of the game.

Players get to go on adventures, explore dungeons, find new towns, and of course, lead the squad in times of battle. In the gameplay video specifically, it showcased a dungeon called the "Wyvern's Den." The story goes that they have to rescue the daughter of the leader of the Sky Pirates, Tani, from the dungeon.

As per the usual dungeon explorations, and as the name already suggests, Evan and Roland fight off wyverns. The video even ends with a sneak peak of the boss battle with the Wyvern Warlord.

Although the video does seem to show a lot, it may not make sense for now how the RTS fits in with the JRPG. Fans will just have to wait for newer gameplay videos. Otherwise, the game will be released on the aforementioned date of March 23, and players can buy a copy to find out.
