It's time for a head-to-head between Google's and Sony's flagship phones, the Nexus 6 and Xperia Z3, respectively. Do these two newest models come close? Can Google's Nexus 6 overpower Sony's Xperia Z3?

In terms of display and screen, Nexus 6 sports a 5.96-inch QHD display with 1440 x 2560 pixels at 493 ppi. The Xperia Z3 has a 5.2-inch AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080 pixels at 424 ppi. Looking at these specs, the Nexus has a better display, no doubt. But the Xperia Z3 may be easier to carry around in the pocket due to its smaller screen size.

In terms of design and build, the Nexus has a more classic look, but it boasts durability. On the other hand, Sony's Xperia line has always been known for its stylish and sleek design. Also, Xperia Z3 is waterproof, the Nexus 6 isn't.

With regards to power, the Nexus 6 operates on a quad-core Snapdragon 805 clocked at 2.7 GHz. It has 3 GB RAM and Adreno 420 GPU. The Xperia Z3 runs on a quad-core Snapdragon 801 clocked at 2.5 GHz. It has 2 GB RAM. Clearly, the Nexus 6 is a more powerful device.

While the Nexus 6 has more power, there's no question that the Xperia Z3 has the better snapping capability. The Xperia Z3 has a 20.7 MP camera, it also has Sony's Exmor RS sensor. On the other hand, the Nexus 6 only has a 13 MP camera.

In terms of battery performance, the difference isn't too big. The Xperia Z3 has 3100 mAh battery, while the Nexus has 3220 mAh, although the Nexus has an advantage on this one with its Moto X turbo charging technology. According to Android Pit, the Nexus can beef up 6 hours of battery life with just 15 minutes of charging.

So, which one is the winner? It looks like a tie. But at the end of the day, it depends on the consumer's preference, whether they are looking for power or they prefer a phone with an awesome camera.  Surely, they'll know which is which now.
