Nexus 5 vs iPhone 5s: Google smartphone more appealing Apple's?

Choosing a smartphone today might be a tad too tedious. Here is a rundown of possible considerations in making your choice.

Striving for an inconspicuous sophistication, Google Nexus 5 is a combination of straight edges and sharp curves. In fact, this gadget seems to have been designed veering away from fancy patterns and sparkly accents.

On the other hand, the iPhone 5s attempt to exude elegance comes in an all-aluminium-and-glass frame. Apart from its modern look and trademark Apple iPhone design, this line comes with new colors. Users can now opt out of the typical black and white selection by choosing either champagne or space grey color phones.

The Nexus 5 is thicker and bulkier compared with the iPhone 5s. However, the former can still be used with one or both hands. The black version of the Nexus is made with matte texture. This results in an excessive fingerprints plastered across your phone, while the smooth white version offers a glossier, unstained surface.

In contrast, the 5s is made weighing only 112 g. Its dimensions are 123.8 x 58.6 x 7.6 mm. Another impressive feature of this phone is the redesigned home button. The remodeling of the iconic button, however, was not merely for aesthetic purposes. The button now serves as the fingerprint scanner, one of the most valued ID technology introduced by Apple.

The Nexus 5 takes pride of the fact that no screen space of the phone is wasted. In fact, this gadget boasts of 445 pixels wedged into every square inch of its screen. This means that the phone offers a wonderful movie viewing experience, as well as excellent web browsing display.

The iPhone 5s offers users a four-inch screen, which has a resolution of 1136 x 640. These specs still offer high-definition at 326DPI. The phone also prides itself of brilliant color reproduction and general effects.

One definite advantage of the Nexus 5, however, is the fact that the phone targets a cheaper market compared with that pursued by the iPhone 5s.
