New Musicademy drums course features Delirious? drummer

|PIC1|Worship training specialist Musicademy has launched a series of drum teaching DVDs specifically for people involved in worship.

There are six DVDs in total, three for beginners and three for more advanced players who are already confident playing in worship band settings.

As well as highly professional teaching from Musicademy's Colin Brookes, there are guest lessons and tips from the new Delirious? drummer, Paul Evans, as well as practical advice from leading worship drummers Martin Neil (Kevin Prosch), Dennis Holt (Kansas, Michael W Smith, Twila Paris), Doug Matthews (David Ruis) and Andrew Small (Kylie Minogue, Massive Attack, Stuart Townend).

The DVDs feature jam tracks with the Musicademy band, audio backing tracks and drum grooves as daily practice tools. The on-screen animated graphics and 3-camera split screen close-ups mean that by working through the DVDs the student can learn as easily as with one to one lessons with the added advantage of being able to pause and repeat any lesson whenever they want.

Songs used include Blessed Be Your Name, Indescribable, Alleluia, How Lovely is Your Dwelling Place, How Great Thou Art, Here I am to Worship, Beautiful One, Holy Holy and Praise is Rising.

Musicademy Director Andy Chamberlain says, "We are really pleased with the new drum DVDs. All the content is specifically geared for worship musicians and with use of multi-cam shots, animated graphics and our step by step method of breaking down each new skill into its component parts, means that students get the best possible learning resource that they can come back to time and time again."

Worship Leader Magazine says, "The whole suite of Musicademy products are the perfect crash course for your worship team."

Each series represents about a years' learning and is great value with six hours of lessons, advice and daily practice backing tracks on each DVD set.

Also launched is The Musicademy Essential Drums Work-Out CD featuring three 20 minute practice routines to help drummers warm up and develop their fills, breaks and rudiments while giving a great drum work-out.
