Hit TV series NCIS will introduce two new characters next season.

Hollywood Hills reported that two new faces will join the cast of "NCIS" for its season 12. One of the anticipated characters coming to the show is Agent Gibb's ex-wife. Viewers were wondering about the identity of Mrs. Gibbs.

Another character coming next season is Ellie Bishop's husband. Since Bishop was introduced in the show recently, the story about her life and her past will be developed next season. NCIS Source said that the next season of NCIS will allow another character to be part of the show more. Ellie Bishop played a low key agent and a minor character in the show but fans will be able to understand her character better.

Meanwhile, Timothy McGee and Delilah Fielding may continue their relationship next season. In season 11, McGee pushed Delilah to take a job opportunity in Dubai. She said that she will take the job only if their relationship can work despite the distance. McGee answered her by giving her the spare key of his apartment to show his commitment. The executive producer of the hit TV series confirmed that Delilah Fielding will still appear next season.

"NCIS" met a lot of issues during the season 11 of the TV series. First, Ziva David decided to leave the show after eight years leading to the introduction of Ellie Bishop in the crew. Moreover, Ralph Waite, who played Gibbs' father Jackson since 2008, died. The cast mourned for the loss of the great character and father in American TV.

However, reports claimed that Ziva's character will come back. "The greatest thing about this last episode is that Ziva doesn't die. As long as a character doesn't die, the character can always come back. Not that it would actually matter, because we bring back characters from the dead all the time on NCIS," Cote de Pablo said in one of his interviews after leaving the show.

"NCIS" season 12 will go back on air in September.
