'NCIS LA' Season 8 spoilers: LL Cool J teases character to die; Mole to be revealed in Oct. 2 premiere

Someone is almost definitely going to die when NCIS LA returns for its eighth season on CBS.

In an interview with E Online, LL Cool J, who plays Sam in the series, teased the major development that is bound to shake things up within the team.

"#Somebody's got to die. #Somebody's got to go, you know? #Changes. #You need to watch," the rapper said when asked what hashtags will best describe the events of the season.

He however, fell short of confirming if the "somebody" he is referring to is a regular cast member, a guest star or the mole that has yet to be unmasked.

The next season is definitely one for the books for the entire team as Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) and Kensi (Daniela Ruah) will be tying the knot and having a baby, a means for the writers to accommodate the latter's real life pregnancy.

This is something writers have been leading to in previous seasons.

"Once [Kensi and Deeks] are officially engaged, then I think that conversation [about having kids] will come back again," "NCIS LA" showrunner Scott Gemmill said to TV Guide way back in April.

It would seem that the series will not waste any time and get right to revealing the identity of the mole when the show comes back.

According to a post by SpoilerTV, The undersecretary of the Navy will be making an appearance to investigate the team after finding out that a potential traitor has infiltrated their ranks. While this is brewing, the team will also be charged with securing a high value target from a Syrian terror suspect.

The premiere seems to be an action packed episode that may even put Kensi's life in danger.

"@DanielaRuah was absolutely sensational Day1-S8 #ncisla Kensi is challenged by a life altering condition. Never seen anything like this B4!" episode director John Peter Kousakis tweeted.

"NCIS: Los Angeles" premieres on a new timeslot, Sunday, Oct. 2 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
