The new season of NCIS: Los Angeles is all set for its premiere on Sunday, the 2nd of October. The show, which is to air on CBS at 8 p.m. on the said date, is taking its steps into the eighth season. And fans are waiting with bated breath for the spoils that the upcoming episodes will treat them to.

Deeks and Kensi, one of the most loved couples on CBS, will reportedly be moving forward in their relationship. And 'Densi' fans are over the moon about what the upcoming season possibly has in store for them.

Shane Brennan, who has been running the show these past seven seasons, has stepped down. Movie News Guide reports that Scott Gemmill, who has been working closely with Brennan all along, will now take the lead.

And in the first season that he'll be calling the shots for, Gemmill does have something good in store for Deeks and Kensi. He promises that the two will get together, and a proposal is definitely in the offing. It may not happen right away, however.

International Business Times states that the new executive producer hinted that he does have a pretty good idea of how the proposal plays out. "I already know how we're going to do it. It's just, the fans have waited long enough that we want it to be worth the wait," Gemmill explained.

As for starting a family, that is something that's certainly not coming in this season. It is on the cards, of course. But before the two decide to settle down and have a baby or two, there are a lot of loose ends that need to be tied. As Ecumenical News explains, Gemmill believes that both Deeks and Kensi cannot afford to let their career take a back seat.

Until this power couple is ready to slow down, fans will have to be content with the slowly, but surely, approaching 'I do' moment.
