NBA trade rumors Chicago Bulls: Derrick Rose reportedly has several teams eyeing him

The Chicago Bulls point guard, Derrick Rose, is reportedly appearing very appealing to various teams outside of their home court. According to Sports Media 101, the New York Knicks are aiming to add a skilled point guard to their roster for the next season, and number one on their option list is Rose.

According to ESPN New York's Ian Begley: "The New York Knicks are looking to upgrade their backcourt, and one player on their radar is Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose. The Knicks have had internal discussions recently about trading for Rose, league sources tell ESPN."

The Bulls have yet to reveal their side on these trade discussion, though it does seem that they prefer trading Rose instead of losing their primary scorer Jimmy Butler, who is also involved in several other trade talks for the new season.

Getting Rose in any trade is still extremely risky, since this player apparently ends up with half of the games being unable to play due to injuries sustained from the court. He's already had two major knee surgeries and underwhelming performance in addition to him being injury-prone in any game. Yet even then, he is still more valuable than the current people with the Knicks: Jerian Grant, Jose Calderon and Tony Wroten.

Rose is going to be a free agent after the 2016-17 season, with his average currently being 16.4 points, 42.7 percent shooting, and 4.7 assists. According to Oregon Live, the Knicks would be smart to find a more permanent player, since in recent years they haven't been able to keep hold of several people, including Calderon, Raymond Felton, Pablo Prigioni, Jason Kidd, Baron Davis and others.

Yibada also mentions that if Rose doesn't go with the Knicks, he might be recruited by the Grizzlies instead, since they might just lose Mike Conley to free agency in the next season. Even with his health concerns being a risk, Rose would still be a valuable addition to any team.
