'NBA 2K17' locker codes: 'NBA 2K16' codes can be used in new game

With the release of a new franchise installment, it is expected that 2K Games will come out with a new list of locker codes for players to use. However, it has been found out that some of the old locker codes from the previous "NBA 2K16" still work.

Reportedly, not all codes work, however. Industry followers believe that since "NBA 2K17" has just been released, old locker codes working in the new game is just some type of glitch, and developers are likely hard at work for a new patch that will update the codes list.

Meanwhile, some of the old locker codes still work to date. The old codes that reward "NBA 2K17" virtual currency include PARKSWAG and SHOOT2MUCH500 for 500 VC, KEEPTHECHANGE for 750 VC, and IWATCHEDNBA2KTV and #2KTVPOSTSEASON for 1,000 VC. The highest VC reward that is still usable in "NBA 2K17" is BETTERTHANAGIFTCARD, giving out up to 2,000 virtual currency.

Aside from VCs, some old locker codes from "NBA 2K16" also give out bonus in-game items. Using PAYRESPECT unlocks an ABA Ball, while a random player item is given out by the MYSTERY code. Players can also get a 2K TV shirt for their MyPlayer superstar via the old #2KTVHEYGUYS locker code.

Meanwhile, aside from the old locker codes, there is also another workaround that players can use to accumulate VCs. Supposedly, answering a series of game-related questions from the "NBA 2K17" tab in the 2KTV mobile companion app also gives out free VCs and a number of in-game items. The free VCs are on top of the rewards for players who frequently play the card games modes in the mobile companion app.

"NBA 2K17" is already out on the market and is available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC.
