'NBA 2K15' release date: Special package deals; Kevin Durant plays who?

There's no better face to promote the new game "NBA 2K15" than the reigning MVP himself, Kevin Durant. He's the poster boy of the game, a privilege he has earned for a job well done last season.

Durant has been busy doing some promotion himself, and it was just the perfect time to guest in "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon." Durant was a natural, and it was a hilarious guesting. The spiel was perfectly aimed at promoting the game.

When Fallon asked Durant if he's good at playing the game, he answered, "I'm really really good."

But that wasn't the funniest thing he said that evening.  When Fallon asked him if he plays himself in the game, he said no and finds it arrogant. So, who does he play then? Durant admitted he plays Lebron James.

Durant's promotion of the game is as timely as can be since the "NBA 2K15" launching is schduled on Oct. 7. For game addicts, the game will be available for purchase during its midnight release at exactly 12:01 a.m. According to iDigitalTimes, it can be purchased from Gamestop, Best Buy, and other game retailers.

There's the Kevin Durant MVP Bonus Pack that Gamestop offers. The bonus packs includes KD Throwback MyTEAM Card, two MyTEAM card packs, myPLAYER leg sleeves and 5,000 virtual currency.

Gamers who do not want to line up at these stores can always try Target or Walmart, but it is suggested that they call to find out if the establishment is doing a midnight release or not. Since most players will flock to Gamestop and Best Buy, one might have a better chance of buying the game in these places.

"NBA 2K15" is much anticipated because of the highly improved graphics and the new facial scan feature. Players can scan their faces and make it the face of their player in the game. Further, the Xbox 360 and PS4 consoles feature the MyPark mode, which is something new game fans.
