Moto X+1 (X2) specs, features and release date rumors

Although tight-lipped with regard to the details of the latest Motorola smart phone, online reports reveal that the Moto X+1 might feature a wood, plastic, and leather back.

According to some purportedly leaked photos of the gadget, the Moto X+1 will resemble the shape and layout of the current Moto X smartphone. In this case, the Moto X+1 will also have the signature custom-made wood back.

The soon-to-be-released smartphone is speculated to offer a 5.1-inch/5.2-inch screen display with 1920 x 1080 pixels and a 12 mega-pixel rear camera. The device's front camera is said to be 2.5 megapixels. Furthermore, the camera above the logo will have two LED flashes.

The Moto X+1 is also anticipated to run on a Quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor.

The Motorola smartphone will also feature a tiny SD slot in three different storage sizes of 16GB, 32GB, 64GB.

One of the most notable probable features of the Moto X+1 is an enhanced notification system. This feature is said to allow the display of notifications across the top of the screen even while the gadget is locked.

Several websites are speculating a pedometer feature, which could go with the upcoming Moto 360 smartwatch gadget. In terms of its battery, the Moto X+1 will either be 2,800 mAh or 2,900 mAh.

The Moto X+1 is expected to make its debut sometime around August or September this year.
