The release date of the rumoured Moto X+1 may be delayed as 64GB Moto X will come soon, Sprint confirmed.
According to Android Police citing a Russian website, which spotted a 64GB of the first generation of Moto X, the device with larger internal storage will arrive in June. The device was originally tipped by Russian site Mobiltelefon.ru and confirmed by Artem, and there is clearly an option for a 64GB version found within Moto Maker's memory selection page.
US network Sprint also listed the device on its website that costs $449.99, which is $50 more than the 32GB variant of Moto X. The handset still features: Android 4.4.2 KitKat; 2GB RAM; 16GB/32GB storage; 4.7-inch Super AMOLED HD display; 1.7GHz dual core Snapdragon S4 Pro SOC; 10MP rear camera, 2MP front snapper; and 2200mAh battery.
It was speculated that the new Moto X variant will bear an outright price of $450 and will be available in three major US carriers –Sprint, AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile. The arrival of the flagship phone with larger storage implied that no new handset will be released soon.
Meanwhile, Moto X+1 is expected to be released by the end of summer. Rumors about the successor of Moto X started at this year's Mobile World Congress last February. According to the grapevine, Moto X+1 will feature high-performance, stable hardware, high customization options and a friendly price tag. Moreover, the handset will feature more touchless controls, new Active Display features, and a Moto Maker accessible in more regions.
Recently, the reliable tipster @evleaks tweeted that the upcoming Moto X+1 has the codename Victara.
@evleaks previously claimed that the Moto X+1 will enable users to customize its back panel with wooden options such as Rosewood, Teak, Ebony, Bamboo. However, rumors also stated that leather and plastic back panel were also considered by the company. However, Motorola has not revealed the official specs and features of the said handset yet.
