For quite a while, fans of "Modern Family" have been concerned about the renewal of the show. The question of whether Season 8 of the hit ABC series would come to pass lingered around for a long time. And now, we have the answer – the show is back on. In the last week of July, the show's co-creator Stevan Levitan shared a photo of the table read for the eighth season on Twitter, captioned "Season 8 has begun. #Modern Family table read."

Latin Post gives us some happy spoilers. Firstly, it seems like the season will start off with Mitchell Pritchett, Cameron Tucker, and Lily Tucker-Pritchett getting back home after their summer in Kansas City. Some questions that need to be answered are whether Cameron's grandmother welcomed their relationship, and how exactly Mitch dealt with being a "farm boy" throughout the summer.

Secondly, we know that Haley is dealing with a broken heart. Back in Season 7, she voluntarily broke up with Andy so that he could pursue his dream job. He was the first boy she truly loved, and we're still hopeful that they'll try and make it work long-distance. If they don't, it remains to be seen if Haley will ever get over him.

Game & Guide also talks of how Jay is unsettled by the sudden change from a busy, working schedule to retirement. Chances are high that he may try for a while to settle down to a quiet life, and finding that he cannot do so, might end up getting in the way of Claire, who will run things at the workplace with him gone. As several hopeful reports point out, it would be fun to watch Jay and Claire lock horns and battle it out verbally. They're both strong-willed and quick-tongued. So the new season will undoubtedly have some treats in store for us.
