This year, highly acclaimed actors Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper will once again be seen onscreen in the movie "Serena." To premiere at the BFI London Film Festival this October, the film is the third one the two actors are sharing, after the successful "Silver Linings Playbook" in 2012 and "American Hustle" in 2013.

The chemistry onscreen between Lawrence (Hunger Games, X-Men: Days of Future Past) and Cooper (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Hangover) is very noticeable. When asked by South Jersey Magazine if he and his co-star have "developed a kind of acting shorthand together," the 39-year old actor replied, "It's much easier when you have a natural rapport with another actor, and Jennifer and I both know each other so well that we don't need to think too much about our scenes together."

Set in North Carolina in the 1930s, the story is about businessman George Pemberton (Cooper) who is struggling to establish and keep his timber empire in the midst of The Depression. He marries an enterprising woman, Serena (Lawrence), who becomes both his wife and partner. But matters in the life of the young couple become complicated – and dark – when George finds out that Serena cannot bear kids, and Serena learns that George has a son from a previous relationship.

Lawrence and Cooper received numerous nominations and awards for both movies that they shared in the past. Based on the intensity shown in the trailer of "Serena," it seems that moviegoers will once again be treated to top-notch acting in the upcoming film.

"Serena" finished shooting back in 2012, but director Susanne Bier had taken her time in putting the film together. It just might just be worth the wait though, as the Danish film director has likewise received numerous awards for her exemplary directorial work in her past projects, including an Academy for "In a Better World."

"(Susanne) Bier is also an exceptional director and if you look at her films you can see how much sensitivity she brings to the characters in her films," Cooper said during the interview. "I learned a lot from working with her and I think Jennifer also appreciated being able to be part of this kind of a story."

"Serena" will roll out in theaters in the UK on Oct. 24 and in Australia on Nov. 27. Showing in France is slated for Nov. 12 and in Germany on Dec. 18.
