"Minecraft" fans are scratching their heads due to the lack of update for the PS Vita version. 4J Studios has always updated gamers and fans for the PlayStation version, but it's not the case with the PS Vita. The reason behind it is that "Minecraft" PS Vita is still being worked on.
Apparently, there are still bugs in the game that needs fixing and 4J Studios is on it. According to the official PlayStation blog, they'll update everyone once the game has been handed to Sony. The same blog says that more updates will be coming for the other versions of "Minecraft," including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Elsewhere, 4J Studios has been making a tremendous effort to update their followers on Twitter about any development for the PS Vita version and other versions of the game. Last week, 4J Studios tweeted, "There's a bigger #MinecraftXbox1 and #MinecraftPS4 bug fix update underway to fix the other issues people have been finding."
But Tuesday night, the main update has finally happened. 4J Studios tweeted, "We've handed Minecraft: PlayStation®Vita Edition over to Sony for final test! #MinecraftPSVita"
This is awesome news for everyone. This means Sony will do the final testing and then update everyone if "Minecraft" PS Vita is good to go.
As for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, the most recent update was about being able to transfer saved worlds from PS3 to PS4. Further, release date for the PS4 version has been confirmed. It will be released on Oct. 3 in Europe and Oct. 7 in North America, according to The Epoch Times.
Additionally, The Epoch Times reported that gamers have been sending letters to Microsoft and begging them not to "mess up" Minecraft. One letter said that everyone loves "Minecraft" the way it is, and Microsoft should keep it that way. Luckily for letter sender Sabrina, Xbox lead Phil Spencer wrote back.
After saying his thanks, he said, "I want you to know that we plan to keep all the things that people love about Minecraft the same. We will look for ways to make Minecraft better with more opportunities for players to play, connect and share together."
Clearly, that's a confirmation that "Minecraft" will remain the game everyone loves. The delay could really just be about fixing bugs and making sure it runs perfectly on the different gaming consoles.
