For the operating system, the difference is obvious. Surface Pro 3 runs on Windows 8.1. The iPad Pro will surely run on iOS. PC Advisor predicts that it could be iOS 8.
Screen resolution is very important when it comes to choosing who wins this battle. The sizes of the two screens will not be that different. Surface Pro 3 sports a 12-inch display with a resolution of 2160 x1440, while the iPad Pro is rumored to have a 12.9-inch display with up to 4,000 pixel resolution.
As for the battery performance, Apple's iPad Pro is rumored to have a longer battery life than the iPad Air. However, there are no details yet. The Surface Pro 3 offers up to 9 hours of web browsing.
Other things to consider are the other features of the two tablet/laptops. Both Surface Pro 3 and the iPad Pro are considered hybrids, in the sense that both come with a keyboard accessory that transforms the tablet into a notebook.
