It has been around four years since the dreadful accident happened to Formula One racing legend Michael Schumacher. Since then, fans are left wondering how he has been doing, but few, if any, news about it has been officially released by his family. Recently, former colleague Sebastian Vettel has at least shared some hope with Schumacher's fans.

Vettel was recently interviewed by Blick, a German tabloid, and was asked about how he thinks colleague and friend Schumacher is doing, as per Express.co.uk. His initial reaction was that he was surprised at how long ago that has happened. This is also considering that news of Schumacher never really comes up on television or anywhere really.

"Above all, we in Formula One are coached on a daily basis to look ahead. The next race, the next race. That's how the years go by," said Vettel. "Of course, Michael is still missed by Formula One. And especially we at Ferrari would be happy if he could stand by our side with advice in the race for the world title."

Surely, most fans would already rejoice even at the sight of seeing Schumacher in public. Unfortunately, no one, except for his family and close friends, has seen the racing legend appear anywhere. Vettel, at least, provides some hope for his fans. "If anyone knows how to move forward, then it is him."

The last positive and concrete news anyone has heard of him was two years ago when he was already conscious after getting into a medically-induced coma. It is safe to say that he is recovering, although it will surely take a lot of time.

In other news, Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, has announced a few months ago that he would make the legend's gear public: his cars, overalls, helmets, and the like. The museum would be open in Cologne, Germany in 2018.
