While Apple has not confirmed a launch event for this month, speculations suggest that the company will reveal new laptop and desktop lineups at the end of October.

Industry observers believe that a press launch may be held on Oct. 27, as the Cupertino-based tech giant has reportedly re-scheduled its earlier confirmed earnings call on the said date due to "conflicting schedules." The upcoming quarterly financial conference will now be held on Oct. 25. Supposedly, another event, such as keynote address, has filled up Apple's Oct. 27 schedule.

Should this happen, it is likely that the keynote presentation will be followed by Apple launching new laptops like the 2016 MacBook Pro, as well as new iMacs. Previously, rumors said that the new lineups will come out in Apple's September 2016 event. However, last month's new lineup launches only included the iPhone 7 and the Apple Watch 2.

Aside from a rescheduled earnings call, there is also another supposed detail hinting at the 2016 MacBook lineups launching later this month. According to MacRumors, the Cupertino-based tech giant is hurrying up its new macOS Siera 10.12.1 update. This suggests that Apple is readying the launch of its macOS-supported devices like the new MacBooks and overhauled iMacs.

Meanwhile, though Apple has not confirmed any details at all, the supposed specs and features list for the 2016 MacBook pro have already made their way online. One major change for the new lineup is the addition of an OLED touch panel on top of the keyboard row. Supposedly, it serves as customized shortcut and functions keys that will change depending on the app that is open. For example, the touch bar displays haptic volume and playback controls when a media player app is active. It will then transform into function rows and shortcut keys for task-intensive apps like Word.

Aside from the 2016 MacBook Pro, an overhauled MacBook Air, as well as the 2016 iMac lineups, are also expected.
