There are many speculations with regards to the upcoming MacBook Pro 2016. It is believed that it will see the light of day come September and will contain the latest Kaby Lake processor. However, recent rumors suggest that the release may be moved to November and may be powered by a Skylake chip.

It was earlier speculated that this year's MacBook Pro model would be alongside iPhone 7 and several other devices when they launch next month. Now, it is rumored that the laptop's launch will be postponed to give way to the upcoming smartphone. Both devices require a lot of work since they are both sporting new designs and the time ran out for the new laptop, The Bitbag reported.

Several reports are also suggesting the upcoming laptop will not be sporting the seventh-generation Intel processor, the Kaby Lake, but rather will use the sixth generation. It is also speculated to carry Intel's iGPU series graphic chip that will suffice for the upcoming laptop's needs since it is not really designed for gaming. The Skylake processor is also known to offer great power efficiency.

9To5Mac previously reported that this year's MacBook may contain an OLED display touch bar that will replace the function key row, which will change according to the active application, as well as a Touch ID security feature similar to an iPhone. With regards to the design, it is further believed to be incorporating a thinner and lighter aluminum case and new metal injection molded hinges. The features may also include USB-Type C and Thunderbolt 3 ports. These are all predictions of Ming-Chi Kuo, an Apple analyst with KGI Securities.

Apple has not issued any official word regarding the laptop.
