2014 is set to be an exciting year for Apple releases and the device that is getting a lot of tongues wagging is the MacBook Air with Retina Display.
That's after the reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, of KGI Securities, reported that Apple was prepping for a new MacBook Air with Retina Display that would be ready in time to unveil at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June.
The MacBook Air is reported to come with a 12-inch screen, putting it slap bang in the middle of the current 11-inch and 13-inch McBook Airs.
It's also rumored to have a clamshell form and no disk drive.
Kuo predicts that the new MacBook Air will be "lighter and smaller", and have a high resolution display.
It's expected to come with the OS X 10.10, which Apple watchers believe will be announced at the WWDC before a full release around October.
iOS 8 is also tipped for unveiling at the WWDC. While the design will be largely the same as the iOS 7, it is expected to come with some great new features for users, including a new fitness app called Healthbook.
All the talk of the new MacBook Air is leading to the conclusion that the iPad Pro release will be delayed, coming possibly in 2015 after the release of the iPad Air 2 later this year.
IBTimes Australia edition is reporting that a new MacBook Pro with Retina display will have a new type of RAM that will make its performance "lightning quick", and can also be expected in June.
