VH1 "Love & Hip Hop" star Stevie J owes Carol Antoinette Bennett, the mother of two of his children, more than $1 million in back child support, and she wants to collect.

Ms. Bennett first exposed Stevie J's delinquency at an October 2013 press conference, stating that the music producer hasn't made a payment in years. An arrest warrant was issued for Stevie J, whose real name is Steven A. Jordan, from the New York Police Department due to the outstanding debt, but the warrant was discharged without payment.

Bennett, a former music executive, contracted the services of Project Child Support to uncover and collect Stevie's assets, including any and all companies that may be used as a financial shelter.

Project Child Support recently issued subpoenas to a list of high-profile individuals and companies who currently or formerly conducted business with Stevie J:

  • Joseline Hernandez, wife of Stevie J and "Love & Hip Hop" castmember
  • Raymond "Benzino" Scott, a music producer and "Love & Hip Hop" castmember
  • Mona Scott-Young, "Love & Hip Hop" Executive Producer and CEO of Monami Entertainment
  • VH1
  • Viacom
  • Sony Music Group
  • Universal Music Group
  • Warner Music Group
  • Bad Boy Entertainment
  • The Kompany, a business owned by Stevie J.

Project Child Support Founder Kai D. Patterson states: "These subpoenas in no way represent any wrongdoing by any of the organizations not managed by or under the control of Mr. Jordan. They are required to enable us to determine Mr. Jordan's compensation over the years he failed to comply with his court ordered child support obligations, and how he is currently earning. They are a necessary step in seizing Mr. Jordan's assets to pay his unpaid child support, should he not accept the terms we are prepared to offer him to pay his arrears."

"Currently, Stevie J owes more than $1 million in court ordered child support and has not made any attempt to enter into a payment plan to bring the child support current and has failed to appear in court," Bennett's rep, Sibrena Stowe de Fernandez of La Chic Media stated. "All of the companies that are responsible for most of Stevie J's current income have been served."

Copies of the subpoenas are below.
