Supposedly, Lenovo sub-brand ZUK is coming out with a new, near bezel-less flagship. Supposed leaks confirm the feature, as the ZUK Edge has been seen in new images.

Android Headlines mentions that as per reports out of China, the ZUK Edge is already being prepped for launch. The new leaked images show what appear to be prototypes of the device in black and white color versions, and there are also close-ups of the iteration's front panel.

It can be seen on the photos that the ZUK Edge will sport thin bezels on its sides, leading to the "Edge" moniker. The upcoming flagship is the follow-up to the ZUK Z2 Pro, and its specs and features have already been leaked online.

Supposed listings say that the ZUK Edge will sport a 5.5-inch display with full HD resolution, and will feature the new Snapdragon 821 chipset under the hood. There will be two configuration options for the flagship, with the base model having 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of onboard storage. Meanwhile, there will be a step-up variant having 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory. Other specs and features for the new flagship include a front-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 13-megapixel main camera at the back, and at least 3,000 mAh battery. Purportedly, even as a late 2016 release, the ZUK Edge will still come out with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box, though an update to the new Android Nougat platform is highly likely.

Having thin bezels for displays is becoming a trend for recent releases. Aside from the ZUK Edge, recent launches also sport dual-curved screens and thin bezels. One such example is from another China-based tech maker, Xiaomi. The company has just released its concept phone, the Mi MIX with near bezel-less screen, having more than 90 percent screen-to-body ratio.
