Moto G and Moto 360 released; Lenovo Vibe X2 and Vibe Z2 unveiled at IFA 2014 Berlin

Lenovo has officially unveiled two new smartphones at the IFA in Berlin, the Lenovo Vibe X2 and the Lenovo Vibe Z2. Although the units are not expected to be directly sold in the US, it will be rolling out in China in October, and in other areas afterward.

In a report by Tech Radar, both models are equipped with 2GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage, and runs on the Android 4.4 (KitKat) OS with Vibe 2.0 interface.

The Vibe X2 has a 5-inch display, a 13MP rear-facing camera,a 5MP front facing camera, and accessories called Xtensions. It sports a Media TEK MT6595m True8Core processor – four 1.7 GHz Cortex A7 cores and four 2.2GHz Cortex-A17 cores. It also comes with a 2,300mAh battery, and has a price tag of $399.

The Vibe Z2, on the other hand, has a bigger 5.5-inch display, a 13MP rear-facing camera with Sony Exmore BSI sensor, and an 8MP front-facing camera. It is powered by a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 401 processor. It has a 3,000mAh battery, and its suggested retail price is $429.

While the Vibe X2 and Z2 are not expected to be in US shelves, Motorola, a brand owned by Lenovo, hosted an event in Chicago on Sept. 4, where it officially unveiled the new Moto X, Moto G, Moto 360, and Moto Hint.

Moto 360 is the company's round smartwatch which has long captured the interest of many gadget enthusiasts. Priced at $249.99, the wearable device is powered by Android Wear, and it responds to voice control, has health apps, works with Facebook Messenger, has six pre-installed watch faces, and more.

The Moto G smartphone, priced at $179.99, sports a 5-inch display. It boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor with 1.2 GHz quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB storage plus MicroSD card slot, and runs on an Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS. It is equipped with a 2MP front-facing camera, an 8MP rear-facing camera, and a 2,070mAh battery.

There is yet no release date for the Moto X (said to have a retail price of $500) and the wireless earbud called Moto Hint ($149.99), but they are expected to be out this fall.
