Lamar Odom appears to be doing better as the former NBA player left Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Jan. 6.
According to Us Weekly, his estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, arranged for the move to be done in secret to avoid any unwanted attention. The website reports that the 36-year-old was moved to a private facility that has been set up as a rehabilitation center near the "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star's home. The move was reportedly done without notifying Odom's family.
Over the weekend, Radar Online released some pictures of the former L.A. Lakers baller after his release from Cedars-Sinai. The photos were reportedly taken on Jan. 8, and the shots show the former athlete sitting in the front seat of a car. In the photos, Odom appears to be wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt as he gazed at his surroundings.
On Friday, the Odom family spokesperson Alvina Alston confirmed to the Associated Press (via CBS Sports) that Odom was released from the hospital earlier in the week. According to CBS, Alston said that the basketball player's family is proud of what is described as his "miraculous and continued improvement." The spokesperson, however, did not provide any details of his current condition.
Back in October, it was reported that Odom was fighting for his life after he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel following an accidental overdose. The former athlete was reportedly in a coma for a few days before he regained consciousness and was transferred by Kardashian to Cedars-Sinai.
The father of two is said to be having some mobility and cognitive problems because he reportedly suffered from multiple strokes following the overdose. It is said that it would take some time before he is back to his former self.
A source previously told Us Weekly that his condition continues to improve and that he is now allegedly walking without aid.
