In the next episode of "Knightfall," Landry (Tom Cullen) struggles to remember the significance of a symbol he saw on the hand of the deceased Godfrey (Sam Hazeldine).

The trailer for the upcoming installment, which is titled "He Who Discovers His Own Self, Discovers God," was just released, and it shows Landry meeting with the pagan to help him remember the past. "I don't know where I saw the symbol but I need to find out," he says to the elderly mystic.

The Templar lays down on the slab of concrete as the mystic pours a liquid into his eye with some sort of syringe. "Remember, goddess of destiny guide you in your journey," he says to Landry. At that moment, an onslaught of memories fills his brain as he struggles to make sense of them.

Meanwhile, King Philip (Ed Stoppard) and his daughter Isabella (Sabrina Bartlett) meet the Young Mother (Sinead Phelps) at the palace steps. "So beautiful. Let us hope she is as fertile as you," she says to Philip.

Apparently, Isabella is going to marry Prince Luis of Catalonia (Marcos Franz), the son of the Young Mother. However, it seems that the mother is going to be a handful for Isabella. "I'm afraid his mother is a viper," she says to the king. It remains to be seen if the future in-law will be able to get along with the French royals.

In the last episode, Philip decided to let his daughter marry the person that she liked, and that was Luis. This left the English contingent disappointed because they wanted Isabella to marry their prince. Pope Boniface (Jim Carter) was instrumental in making Philip come to that decision.

"Knightfall" season 1 episode 4 will hit the airwaves on Wednesday, Dec. 27, at 10 p.m. EST on the History channel.
