Kirk Moderator takes to net with new 'Mod blog'

The Moderator of the General Assembly, the Rt Rev David Lunan, is set to break new ground for the Kirk by making his own contribution to the information superhighway.

Rev Lunan and his wife, Maggie, are set to start a 'Moderator's blog' where they will keep the world updated on their latest activities, as well as their thoughts on topical issues.

The blog, which will be updated once a week for the duration of Rev Lunan's year in office, is set to 'go live' on Monday afternoon.

Rev Lunan said of the blog: "I thought that it would be good for people to be able to keep up with our activities in a more personal way.

"After all, there is only so much that can be learned by looking at a diary schedule."

The Moderator's blog will be available at: www.churchofscotland.org.uk/news/newsmodblog.htm from 3pm on Monday.
