As appreciative as he is of his fans, Canadian pop star Justin Bieber is done having pictures taken with them. The "Love Yourself" hit-maker says he wants to set some boundaries from his fans so that he will not be badgered by them every time he appears in public.

On his Instagram account (@justinbieber), the singer shared a post that reads: "If you happen to see me out somewhere, know that I'm not gonna take a picture. I'm done taking pictures. It has gotten to the point that people won't even recognise me as a human. I feel like a zoo animal, and I wanna be able to keep my sanity."

Bieber adds, "I realise people will be disappointed but I don't owe anybody a picture. And people who say, 'But I bought [your] album,' know that you got my album and you got what you paid for - AN ALBUM! It doesn't say in fine print whenever you see me you also get a photo."

Bieber's post generated a lot of negative comments from fans. Someone who goes by the username "braekess" tells Bieber his fans are the reason why he became successful in the first place, and the least he can do is have his picture taken with them.

"I'm sure it's annoying not being able to live a 'normal' life, but 'normal' isn't what you signed up for," the critical fan writes.

The Christian singer normally does not respond to his fans on social media, but the comment made by "braekess" seemed to have struck a nerve. He says he does not mind receiving criticism and being called names if it will keep him emotionally fit.

Bieber says he wants to enjoy life and not be a slave to the demands of the world. "I love the fact that I am able to make people happy, but [come on]—if you truly were in my position, you would understand how tiring it is (boo hoo Justin get over it). I'm going to keep making decisions I feel are fit for my growth and no human being will make me feel bad for it," he says.
