'Justice League' plot spoilers: Will Green Lantern make a cameo?

Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern in Warner Brothers' 2011 movie of the same name Warner Bros.

DC Entertainment's big three is saving the world in the upcoming "Justice League" alongside new recruits The Flash, Aquaman, and Cyborg. However, it looks like one more superhero is joining the party when the film hits the big screen next month: Green Lantern.

"The Big Bang Theory" (TBBT) recently held a contest called the "Big Bang Justice League Geekstakes," which gives away $500 daily, a hometown screening of Justice League for 100 friends, and a trip for two to the "Justice League" premiere.

As part of the event, users must spin a wheel that includes the insignia of all Justice League members. But, as pointed out by Reddit user MuzzledPenguin on Monday, Green Lantern's logo was there too. That is interesting because although his inclusion has been a persistent rumor, the Emerald Knight has not been confirmed for the movie yet.

Check out the spin wheel below:

In the earliest days of "Justice League" marketing, one of the promotional images director Zack Snyder shared says "Unite the Seven." But later promotions, including the trailer, only showcased six superheroes: Batman (Ben Affleck), Superman (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), The Flash (Ezra Miller), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and Aquaman (Jason Momoa). Thus, "TBBT's" giveaway may have just spoiled a pretty huge cameo.

Although these kinds of tie-in promotions do not necessarily match the actual content of the product they are tied in to, it should be noted that Green Lantern is an official member of the Justice League in the comic books, so his inclusion in "TBBT's" promo could be explained.

However, the fact that the CBS sitcom is produced by Warner Bros. — the same studio behind the DC superhero films and "Justice League" — suggests that it may indeed be a hint at the upcoming movie.

Spoiled or not, fans do not have to wait that long to confirm Green Lantern's cameo. "Justice League" premieres on Friday, Nov. 17.
