'Justice League' news: Deleted scene shows Bruce Wayne bribing Aquaman with money

It seems Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) ran out of Bat-tricks in trying to win Aquaman's (Jason Momoa) allegiance and had to resort to good old-fashioned money, as the deleted scene in "Justice League" shows the billionaire-playboy-turned-vigilante bribing the King of Atlantis.

Redditors were quick to point out a somewhat hilarious cut in "Justice League" showing Wayne a.k.a. Batman holding a thick wad of cash towards an enraged Arthur Curry a.k.a. Aquaman in an attempt to calm him down. Those who watched the theatrical cut of the movie will recall that this scene, but it went differently then. When Wayne first sought out Curry, instead of handing over money, the billionaire tried to appeal to Curry's sense of duty, failing in the process.

It was also not clear who came up with the idea in the deleted scene since the film has had two directors during the production process, with one (Zack Snyder) having to drop the project due to a family problem, leaving the DC movie to "Avengers" director Joss Whedon. For all fans know, it could be either director being responsible for the deleted scene.

Regardless, both persuasion methods from Wayne would not have ended with Aquaman still rejecting him, perhaps due to the king of the seas and oceans not having any use for cash. He also probably is wealthier than Batman. In the deleted scene, the exact amount which Wayne offered was a measly $25,000 in exchange for Aquaman's service and safety, which he then increased to $30,000 after Curry's furious gesture of pinning him to a wall.

Apparently, Warner Bros. was also trying to add more humour to the superhero movie since they reportedly did not like Snyder's cut as it was too grim and severe. Whether there are more comical takes which have been cut from the movie remains unknown, though it could be interesting to see if the film would've played out with the critics differently had it had more humour such as the one mentioned above.
