Fans who are waiting for expansion content for the latest installment in the "Just Cause" franchise will be thrilled to know that publisher Square Enix has announced the release dates for an upcoming DLC.

According to GameSpot, the upcoming "Sky Fortress" DLC will land first for fans who have already purchased a Season Pass for "Just Cause 3." They will be able to get the DLC on March 8. Meanwhile, those who don't have the perk will need to wait for at least a week for the DLC to become available, with the general release date for the upcoming expansion being March 15.

In announcing the upcoming content, senior producer Tobias Andersson said, "The new content will fundamentally alter how our players approach the game -- we're really looking forward to seeing how fans adapt to the new Wingsuit."

This is because the upcoming "Sky Fortress" DLC is part of the Sea, Land, and Air DLC packs of the game. In the expansion, players will have to control Rico Rodriguez as he flies and fights his way against the eDEN Corporation.

Since the enemies are up in the sky in their Sky Fortress, Rico will have in his arsenal a customized Bavarium Wingsuit. Aside from letting him fly and dart around enemies, the wingsuit also carries shoulder-mounted machine guns and auto-targeting missiles, both coming in handy in an intense firefight up in the air.

Progression in the DLC means that players will also be given access to a Bavarium Splitter assault rifle, as well as an Eviction personal defense drone.

Andersson is proud of the new DLC and says that other than giving additional hours of gameplay for players, "The new story missions, challenges and gadgets that can be taken into the main game really mix things up, and we can't wait for players to revisit Medici and start getting even more creative."
