The remake of 1993's "Jurassic Park" is making some noise. "Jurassic World" has finished shooting and everyone just has to wait for the dinosaur movie to come out.
Director Colin Treverrow took to Twitter to share that filming is over for "Jurassic World." On August 5, he tweeted "Wrap" on his Twitter account. Producer Frank Marshall also took to Twitter to say "Big day for JW. Thanks NOLA!" Marshall's shout out was because most scenes of "Jurassic World" were shot in New Orleans.
"Jurassic World" aims to bring the fans of the movie franchise "Jurassic Park" back to the ultimate dinosaur movie experience. The older movie was set in Isla Nublar Island where the protagonist was checking out the park for a possibility to publicly open it.
In the new movie, it will feature a dinosaur theme park that welcomes 20,000 visitors. The park also has a golf course, a luxury resort and restaurant. However, things go nasty when the management decides to make bigger and badder dinosaurs as their main attractions.
The crew behind "Jurassic World" turned the old Six Flags theme park into the dinosaur theme park in the movie. The feat was excellently done by the people behind the movie and even the movie's main star Chris Pratt wants everyone to see the work behind making of the theme park.
At the San Diego Comic-Con last July, Pratt talked to Total Film about his excitement. "I'm excited about people seeing the park. The park is up and running. John Hammond's dream has come true, and there's now a park with 20,000 visitors a day. And everything he dreamed of and more is there at the park, and you will see it as an audience member when you see this movie. And then you will see it get torn down," the actor said.
Pratt also shared how he loved "Jurassic Park" while he was growing up and how strange it is to be a part of the movie now. "Oh, I'm a huge fan. HUGE fan. One of my very most influential movies as a kid was Jurassic. It is pretty surreal, but it's kind of been the theme recently I think, like these moments that are very surreal are becoming real, and now I'm not just a fan of the franchise, I'm a peer of its artistic creators, you know? And that feels really good," he shared.
As for the movie trailer, it is expected to come out really soon. And Pratt confidently told Collider that "It's [trailer] going to knock your socks off. It's gonna be so awesome, so awesome."
Further, Pratt assures fans that "Jurassic World" will be a good follow-up to the classic dinosaur movie. "And to the long-time fans of the franchise, it's in good hands. Colin is a huge fan, he's gonna deliver a movie that is worthy of the brand and I swear to you it's just gonna be so good I already know it. I can tell," Pratt said.
"Jurassic World" will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
