The sequel to the first 'Jumanji' movie released more than two decades ago, "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" will be out in a few weeks. To keep the hype up for the new movie, a mobile game both for the Android and the iOS will be out before the movie's release date.

"Jumanji: The Mobile Game" is a strategic game that mixes elements of a board game and a Collectible Card Game (CCG). As players make their way through the jungle/board, they will have to learn to use different cards to avoid the traps and pitfalls. Players can customize their cards to make it easier to go through the board.

This is not, however, a casual solo player game. The mobile game allows players to visit other real players' campsites and even steal their gold and take areas of the jungle as their own. Players also get to choose a character which gives different skills and perks depending on the kind of playstyle they choose, as per IGN. These characters are cartoon versions of the cast of the latest "Jumanji" movie.

The way to win throughout is to get better cards and decks. Each skill card can counter enemies skill cards and boost chances of winning. As there is a player versus player (PvP) mode, the game also features Clans, where players can team up with others to take areas of the jungle together. Clanmates can share cards they do not need and even share strategies they find effective.

"Jumanji: The Mobile Game" will be out on Dec. 14 but has already been soft released in Thailand and Canada. The game is free-to-play, but there also optional in-app purchases. As for the movie, "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" will be released six days later on Dec. 20.

The first movie featured players of a board game getting trapped inside it and only being released when someone else plays it again. According to Metro, the sequel will see four teens who will find themselves playing a computer game. Not much else is said about it, but fans can expect to get a more modern feel despite being set in the jungle.
