It has been four months since Josh Duggar checked into rehab after it was revealed that he had an Ashley Madison account. Shortly after the "19 Kids and Counting" star released a statement admitting that he cheated on his wife, Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar announced that their eldest son has entered a treatment facility to seek help. While there were rumors that the 27-year old might be coming home for Christmas, a new report claims that Josh might be spending the holiday by himself.

A source close to the family told People that it doesn't seem likely that the father-of-four might return to Arkansas for the holidays.

"I don't think he's going back for Christmas," said the source. "I would be surprised. There would be a huge elephant in the room."

Josh's scandals have been hard on his family, particularly on his wife Anna and his siblings. On the TLC special "Jill and Jessa: Counting On," Anna expressed her sadness upon learning that her husband has been unfaithful to her, while Josh's brothers said that they didn't want to be like him.

And while his siblings don't hold Josh in high esteem after what he's done, the source said that his children have been looking forward to his return.

"It's so hard when it comes to the kids," said the source, adding that Marcus, Mackenzie, Michael, and Meredith all miss their dad.

While Josh works out his issues in rehab, a source told Entertainment Weekly, as quoted by Yahoo, that the Duggars are planning "a big Christmas" this year which includes Anna and her children.

"Regardless of all the negativity that has happened in the past few months, we are going to be positive and celebrate Christmas," a source in the Duggar family told the publication. The source also said that they have not heard about Josh getting out in time for Christmas.
