International Christian revivalist youth outreach ministry Jesus Culture has teamed up with religious organisation Moral Revolution to provide a counter-cultural six-week online course to help transform students' view of sexuality.

On their website, Jesus Culture is selling the course, comprised of six sessions for $129. It will use "biblical truth, scientific understanding and counseling tools" in providing real, practical solutions to sexuality concerns.

The course provides biblical perspectives on sexuality and foundational principles including: the nature of God, identity, the purpose of sex, needs, the effects of sexual behaviours on our body, soul and spirit, and building vision for sexual purity that will last through the single years, into marriage and beyond.

Havilah Cunnington, Director of Moral Revolution, in explaining the vision behind the course, said that people find out about sex in two different ways. The first is in a silent environment where people find out about sex on their own, and the next is a saturated environment where people learn about sex from movies and conversations with friends. The third is a conflicting environment where people are told that sex is wrong unless they are married.

She said that the course will help people understand about sexuality and overcome the "shame" that is usually involved when talking about sex.

Banning Liebscher, Director of Jesus Culture said that people need to be brave and talk about sexuality in order to be whole individuals.

"We want to raise revivalist and leaders that are healthy, whole, and thriving individuals who have experienced the fullness and freedom that God offers. But the reality is, if we're going to see a generation step into the fullness of God, then this issue of sexuality is one that we have to address," he said.

The curriculum is replete with teacher-ready session content and printable student handouts. There are also video testimonies from everyday revivalists, movie clip introductions, and small group discussion questions.

"These courses include everything you need to raise the spiritual temperature of your group and begin to facilitate revival in your church and city. You will be amazed at what God does!" said Jesus Culture.
