Jeremy Horn surrenders all to God

Jeremy Horn knows what it's like to seek fulfilment in everything else and find himself with no place else to go but God.

And that idea of giving up the things that cannot satisfy for the one thing that truly can is what inspired his new single, "Surrender".

Whether it be marriage, kids, career or any other thing that may absorb all our energy and focus, Jeremy is encouraging people to keep Christ first.

“When we bring Christ into our life, He brings a new creation and a new redemption that brings us hope and peace; there’s something beautiful about surrendering our life to that,” he explains.

"Surrender" is the first single release from his new album, Sound of the Broken, out on March 6.

The album offers 10 songs co-produced by Horn with the help of James Joseph (Todd Agnew) and Curry Weber (Todd Agnew, Joy Whitlock).

The collection is intended to be a reminder that God’s sprit truly rests inside broken people, from the opening track and title cut, “Sound of the Broken”, which uses Acts 3 as its basis, to the closing track, “This Reflection”, which reminds us of God’s grace.

In addition to being a singer-songwriter and dad, Jeremy serves as worship leader of Christ the Rock church in his native Memphis.

His heart for worship has inspired him not only to write great songs, but to break them down so that others can perform them in their churches too.

“Worship can mean living your life for the glory of Christ, living your life to share Him with others,” he says.

“Worship can be the outpouring of our hearts in singing and proclaiming who God is to ourselves and to others. It’s making Jesus bigger on Earth and in our lives.”
