Islamic State baby pictured beside gun and hand grenade promises child will grow up to be a 'risk'

The Islamic State has reportedly released a photo of a baby lying beside a gun and a hand grenade, and promised that the child will grow up to be a "risk."

The photo has not been verified, but it has been shared on Twitter on Sunday by Abu Ward Al-Raqqawi, an anti-ISIS activist in Syria, and he wrote: "This child will be risk to you not just to us."

Terror experts have talked to the Daily Mail about it, and said that the photo reveals the Islamic State's chilling plans for the future.

"By showing the birth certificate, and the fact that the group are indoctrinating babies, I think ISIS are indicating they will be around for a long time," said a terrorism expert from the Australian National University.

"It's an interesting signal of life within the caliphate. Obviously by posting opposition to the Islamic State from within their borders the activist is operating with great risk," the terrorism expert added.

While the veracity of the photo remains uncertain, the Islamic State has not shied away from releasing photos and videos of jihadist training camps for children in the past. In some of the videos, children can even be seen actively participating in the executions being conducted by the jihadists.

In a chilling video released just this March, young boys recruited by ISIS led eight Syrian men into their execution spots before handing the elder ISIS militants the knives for the beheadings.

The Islamic State has gained notoriety for kidnapping children all over Iraq and Syria. The girls they force into sex slavery, while the boys are sent to jihadist training camps.

They are not above killing children either, since during their seige in a Palestinian refugee camp in Syria last April, they showed no mercy to innocent children.

Abdel Fatah, a refugee who survived the attack told the AFP: "I saw severed heads. They killed children in front of their parents. We were terrorised. We had heard of the cruelty from the television but when we saw it ourselves... I can tell you, their reputation is well-deserved."
