The environmental and animal-loving Irwin family is set to come back to TV. Steve Irwin's daughter, Bindi, divulged that their family is set to return to the Animal Planet with a new TV project that will start next year.

The announcement was made on Bindi's Twitter account accompanied by a video snippet of Bindi alongside her mother Terri and brother Robert.

The snippet teased that the show will feature wonderful adventures. It also referenced their father's TV show "The Crocodile Hunter," suggesting that their new TV show may be in the same vein as the original show that catapulted the family to fame.

The family from Australia became famous in the '90s when Steve starred in the said environmental documentary with his wife. "The Crocodile Hunter" became a hit thanks to Steve's fun and warm personality and his evident love for the wildlife. Steve gave the viewers a more personable glimpse into the lives of incredibly dangerous creatures, constantly excited upon seeing every single one of them.

Unfortunately, Steve passed away in 2006 in a freak accident after being whipped by a stingray's tail while setting up a shoot for his TV show.

Bindi was already poised to step into her father's shoes, starring in her own environmental documentary kids show "Bindi The Jungle Girl." In the span of a decade, the Irwin family has appeared in a number of projects like "Steve Irwin's Wildlife Warriors" and "Free Willy: Escape from Pirates Cove."

The Irwin family will be going back to their roots on Animal Planet and the family's fans will surely support them as the return to television even just for nostalgia's sake. While it will be hard to replicate the unique charisma that Steve was known for, fans will just have to wait and see what the remaining Irwin family members can offer.
