Previously, it is rumored that Apple will launch its newest iPad flagship lineup later this year. However, with the overhauled improvements in another Apple series, the MacBook Pro, it is said that the slate lineup's launch might be delayed to early 2017.

Supposed leaks have already painted massive improvements for the Apple laptop lineups, particularly the MacBook Pro. One of the noted changes is the new OLED touch panel on top of its keyboard, which is customized according to the opened app in the laptop. In addition, the new MacBook Pro is expected to come out with a more streamlined design and top-tier specs like the new Intel Kaby Lake chipset, an expanded RAM, and onboard storage options.

Speculations suggest that with the massive improvements on the MacBook Pro, Apple will have wanted fans to focus on the new laptop lineup, and it will be the highlight of a late 2016 release. This means that other anticipated series additions, like the new iPad Pro 2, will have to adjust.

Accordingly, the iPad Pro 2 is now reported to have a launched that will be delayed to early 2017. This seems likely since the new iPad flagship lineup has also undergone massive improvements so that it would be on par with the 2016 MacBook Pro, at least in terms of changes. The new iPad Pro 2 is expected to come out in three variants, with the new version having a 10.5-inch display. Meanwhile, the entire lineup will adjust its specs, with the new 9.7-inch variant serving as the base model with A9X chipset, while the new 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch variants feature a top-tier A10X processor. In addition, the new iPad Pro 2 lineup will benefit from an upgraded Apple Pencil, as well as design changes.

Although Apple has yet to come out with its 2017 release lineup, it is expected that the iPad Pro 2 will appear at the company's annual March event.
