iOS 10 jailbreak tool may be ready for download as early as October

Apple has yet to seed its upcoming iOS 10 as a full version, but dev teams are saying that the jailbreak versions may launch as early as October.

Although jailbreak teams like PanGu have yet to come out with trial tools, it seems an October launch is indeed possible. Previously, third-party developers, most of them enterprising Apple users, have already claimed that they have a working iOS 10 jailbreak based on developer seeds. WCCFTech mentions that one independent developer has managed to crack the on-going beta seed for the new iOS platform, and has also uploaded a video supposedly showcasing the iOS 10 jailbreak using an iPhone 5.

While this may be welcome news to jailbreak users, the industry follower cautions that it may still take some time before the expected release of the iOS 10 jailbreak, as the supposed October launch may only be a placeholder date. The iPhone 5 used in the supposed iOS 10 video is a 32-bit device, so another set of jailbreak development is needed for 64-bit flagships, which were released after the previous-gen iPhone. In addition, the purported footage came from a third-party developer, and there were instances in the past that independent developers are cagey about their jailbreak tools going public.

Meanwhile, prior to the iOS 10 jailbreak, it remains to be seen if jailbreak developers will continue with iOS 9.3. The latest jailbreak version released based on iOS 9.3.3 is now irrelevant. Previously, it is said that the iOS 9.3.3 will be the last official update before iOS 10. However, Apple has just released a major iOS 9.3.5 update, after last month's minor 9.3.4 one. Reportedly, the new update includes a critical security update that patches that iOS 9.3.3 jailbreak exploit by PanGu. There are also hotfixes for at least three more exploits that forces Apple devices to update to a jailbreak firmware even without the user's consent.
