Huawei has silently introduced its newest entry in its tablet lineup, the new MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro.

The new MediaPad addition immediately follows the success of another Huawei tablet lineup, the MediaPad M2 10.0 at the CES 2016. Since the two are included in the same MediaPad lineup, Fone Arena says that the new MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro is just a Snapdragon equivalent of the M2. The new MediaPad addition runs on an octa-core Snapdragon 616 processor, and the MediaPad M2 10.0 Pro has a Kirin 930 chipset.

Under the hood, the two have similar specs sheets. The new MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro features the same 10.1-inch WUXGA display and comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop right out of the box. In addition, much like how the MediaPad M2 was presented early this year, the new MediaPad T2 also comes in different RAM/storage configurations. The base model of the MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, with all standard connectivity options. There is another base model variant that comes with LTE support.

In addition, there are also at least two other iterations of the new MediaPad lineup, one of which has 3GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage. The last in the lineup boasts of 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.

According to Gadgets by NDTV, Huawei has yet to confirm the pricing of the new MediaPad T2 10.0 Pro. However, since the new addition shares characteristics, internals and features with the 10-inch MediaPad M2 Pro, the industry follower surmises that the newly introduced T2 variant will be in the same price range. This means that the base model may have a price tag of at least $350.
