New supposed leaks that surfaced showcase the upcoming Mate 9 flagship. According to the images, the new lineup will be released in two versions.

Perennial tipster and noted leaker Evan Blass managed to check out some supposed details on the upcoming Huawei Mate 9, as well as some purported first images for the lineup. Interestingly, the images highlight two distinct versions of the flagship. Much like competitor Samsung's Galaxy S7 series, Huawei is intending to release the Mate 9 in both regular screens and curved dual edge variants.

According to the industry follower, the two are known internally as Manhattan, the regular-screened version, and Long Island for the top-tier premium version. Interestingly, Blass also underscored some changes in the release plans for the Mate 9. While it is expected that Huawei will globally launch the devices, most regions may have to settle for Manhattan, including the U.S. market. Allegedly, the premium Long Island variant will only be an exclusive release for Huawei's backyard, the Chinese market.

Meanwhile, although Huawei has yet to announce confirmed details for the upcoming flagship, supposed specs for the Mate 9 have already made it online. Speculations suggest that the lineup will showcase Huawei's new Kirin 960 chipset. The new processor will be paired with at least 4 GB of RAM, and a step-up version will feature a 6 GB one. The base model will offer 64 and 128 GB of native storage, while the top-tier version will have 256 GB of storage onboard.

As a base model, the regular Huawei Mate 9 will only feature a full HD display. The top-tier variant, on the hand, is expected to come out with a Quad HD screen.

Although Huawei has yet to confirm the supposed leaks, fans will not have that long to wait to check out the upcoming Mate 9. The flagship is said to come out next month, even as early as Nov. 3.
